"Twin", 1997.
Super8 film strip (6 frames), scanned.
this is a section of broken super8 film from a movie i made in my freshman year of school in intro to film. i mainly directed the films and put myself in them as the subject (sort of like moving self-portraits).
i tried to play this movie in a projector i picked up, but in this section of the movie, i had done some splicing & taping and it caught in the projector and snapped the film.
there was a scene where i sat on one side of a bed, then on the other side in a different scene. i spliced the two scenes together so that when played back it appeared that i was on both sides of the bed simultaneously like i had a twin, except it flickered because it wasn't a seemless transition (i could only splice in 3 frame increments, otherwise the frames were to small to handle & tape back together).
anyway, here's the ripped section. i kind of like the way it looks like this.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.

Being weird or different is only what people call you until you become successful. After that people will be lucky just to call you their friend.
